The worlds most unique clients come my way and I love it! Brittany and Mike were planning a Disney destination wedding, and wondered if I would be open to shooting just their homecoming reception on December 6th.
“Of course!” Reception only events are wonderful too! Especially when planned by such creative minds! Here we have a lovely winter masquerade ball, with deep, velvety colors, and magical, elegant fun!
Best. Cake. Of. The. Year. I kid you not. This was phenomenal. Ken at MiraBella Patisserie (formerly known as MiraBella Confections) made this beauty! The flavors were layered in Coconut Crunch and Chocolate Passion. Aaaahhh-mazing! Brittany also mentioned that the Caramel Apple flavored cake is outstanding as well! This would be one of those splurges where you can’t even pick your favorite flavor. I have never tasted Coconut cake so good! Really. You need cake like this.
Brittany and her mom created the guest masks and spent hours searching for the more detailed bridal party and decor masks, and Stacy at Sunnyslope Floral put it all together.
The gorgeous venue is called The Ballroom at McKay Tower. It’s right downtown in GR.
And this was a cute idea… instead of clinking glasses, Mike and Brittany would kiss if the guests could sing several lines of a song with the word “love”. Good dinner theater!
After the formal dances were over, Brittany changed into her favorite – the purple gown. It was my favorite too! It’s just “her” from start to finish!
