There are forests and streams everywhere in West Michigan! Chris and Wenona grew up knowing one another near a West Michigan site named Wall Lake. Their love story began probably around eighth grade, but miscommunication and maybe some shyness caused each to go their own separate ways until they reconnected online just a couple of years back. It didn’t take them long to realize that they missed out on a whole lot and never wanted to miss a minute more! For their engagement session, we went back to that lovely lake and explored the forest near the lake as well!
I was so pleased to see the fall colors had just the right tones to compliment Wenona’s delicate pink jacket. The right lens (135mm f2L), and the right angle, at the golden hour brought this session it’s glory.
Here are some of the fun forest scenes!
I also adore her ring. This gorgeous peachy-pink stone is called “Morganite“! Check it out, if you’re hoping for a diamond alternative. Set in rose gold, it looks sweet, romantic, and timeless — definitely a heirloom quality option!
Angela! What an awesome job! (I was going to ask if it was a 135! The background was just dreamy- so it gave it away!) If I had to think of one word for this session- I would say sweet. The colors, the light, the little details you shot- capture it perfectly. And I want that ring!
